Pop-up 2020

Maison Breizh popped up for the very first time between Lockdowns 1 & 2 [Aug, Sep, Oct 2020] at markets, foodhalls and festivals across the North West. What we loved the most was hearing our customers share their stories from previous holiday trips to Brittany, their favourite food and restaurants.

There was one family we served on a foul day in Staffordshire. They should have been travelling to Brittany that morning, but COVID had put a stop to that. Upon eating our galettes and crêpes they said we had magically transported them on holiday via their tastes buds and the powers of their imagination. We brought a smile to their face and that made our day.

We miss the lovely people of Chorlton, Didsbury, Levenshulme, Longsight, Lytham St Annes, Stockport, Salford, Uttoxeter and of course Reading. Thank you for your business and wonderful feedback, I promise we will be back one day soon.

Big shout out to our friends at GRUB. Without their open generosity to take a chance with a fledgling Maison Breizh, we would not have been invited to the British Street Food Awards, and we would not be opening up a more permanent base at Escape to Freight Island. Please support this superb foodhall whenever you can.

“Eating your crêpe took me back to being in France. 10/10”

Bailey, co-owner of GRUB
